The numbers, worked

A Stripe invoice pays two fees: the card payment (2.9% + $0.30 for a US card) and Stripe Invoicing (0.4% of each paid invoice on the Starter plan, 0.5% on Plus). Together that is 3.3% + $0.30 on Starter.

To receive $2,500.00: ($2,500.00 + $0.30) ÷ (1 − 0.033) = $2,585.63, and the fees on it come to $85.63.

Without Stripe Invoicing, as with a payment link, the card fee alone needs an invoice of $2,574.98 (fee $74.98). The difference, $10.65, is Invoicing's share.
